The Girl

Hi.

I'm The Girl, or, as a more useful source of information - Nicole.

I have had a very full eighteen years of life, stories, and things to talk about for hours on end. But for now, here are the basics...

I was born in Zimbabwe. And for those who want to ask, are too embarrassed, or are going to ask anyway (i.e. ALL MY FRIENDS) yes, we have food in Zimbabwe. We buy it from the supermarket -just like everybody else. Yes, there are white people in Zimbabwe. We are a normal African country. It's one of the happiest places on earth - just behind Disney World. (Okay not really - but to me, it is.)

I now live in South Africa, and since I have been living here for the majority of my life that I can remember, it is my home. There is no place like South Africa and I am in love with it. It has so much culture, and history. It has a life of its own. It breathes its own stories. I live in Johannesburg at the moment, but I am moving to Cape Town next year to study (2013). I'll be living a beach life. (!!!!!!)

I love life. No, I am in love with life. I am not even being cliche about it. I am in love with life. Everyone has that one passion in life, and sometimes I am bothered by the fact that I don't have one obsession that I base my life around, but instead I am comforted by the fact that my obsession is much broader. It is life. I am driven by my day-to-day life. I am driven by people, stories, opportunities. Everything and anything.

I plan on seeing the world, and I never plan on giving up a life of learning. For now, I am taking it one year at a time. Next year is set, but the year after that and the decades to follow... I remain clueless and that's the way.... ah huh, ah huh, I like it, ah huh, ah huh!

On the off-chance that you do want me to talk for hours on end about my eighteen-years of life thus far, I'd love for you to send me an email. Even if I know you. (Hi mom!) Even better if I don't. Seriously - comments, questions, just want to say hi - I want to hear everything and anything.
